Savannah Kitten care
Kitten Tips;
We will send a supply of kitten food to get you started. We don't want an immediate change in food as it will upset the kitten's stomach. Your welcome to change the food but please do it slowly.
We feed an all natural diet here. The kittens and cats do great on this diet. It is called Wellness or Taste of the wild and can be purchased at either petco, pet supply plus or you can have it shipped in from Amazon (my favorite as it is free shipping!)

This is our kitten playroom. It has everything a kitten would want to play on in it. The room is filled with wonderful entertaining toys. I even have it complete with a TV and Satelite for them to watch animal planet. Ok, the TV is really for me ;) I have only shown a few of their toys I use to spoil them with before you get them. They spend their time having as much fun as possible, not to mention I enjoy my time with them too. Not shown is an Irobot Roomba they seem to really enjoy riding on an chasing around. I do this to expose them to the weird noises of everyday life. The kittens are always kept safe, secure and well adjusted.

1) When bringing a new kitten home, don't rush it out of the crate. Give the kitten time to venture out on it's own.
2) Don't give the kitten full run of the house at first. He is tiny and will get lost.
3) kittens don't always remember to eat. make sure you show them the food dish often.
4) Remember to show them the litter box too.
5) Kittens have sharp nails and can scratch and cut children (and adults) keep the nails trimmed. Allow them a scratching post at all times.
6) Try to keep the kitten on the same food it was on prior to coming to live with you. At least for a few days.
7) Have plenty of toys available. They will out last you in playing time so make sure they have something to do while your not playing.
8) I allow lazer lights, but limited. I never allow my kittens to run to the point of panting or exhaustion.
9) Remeber they love toilet paper. Keep your toilet paper locked up oh and you might want to hide your tooth brushes too.
10) Changing homes can be very stressful. Watch closely for your kitten to show signs of stress. Not eating, not drinking and not being active. If your worried call the veterinarian. It's better to be safe than sorry. They can give you tips.
11) Savannahs love to jump, especially your F1 and F2 cats. Be prepared for that.
12) Never yell, scream or slap your kitten. They are so much smaller than you and have no way to defend theirselves. please do not make the kitten feel threatened in any way. They are there simply to love you and don't always understand our ways of life.
13) Should you ever decide you can not take care of the kitten, please call us day or night and we will help make arrangements to get the kitten back to us. We have made a commitment to these kittens for life. We will always be here for them in the event you can not care for them.
Our kittens are brought into the world knowing we will take the best care of them as possible. We know there are families who want that special kitten and will give it a forever home. Our animals are the pride and joy of our lives. They breathe, have a heartbeat and feel just as you and I feel. Imagine the world without animals. It would be a very cold place. Take care of the kitten and any other animal you have, they are counting on us. :)
